Romero was an outspoken advocate for justice in the midst of El Salvador’s bloody 12 year civil war. He was martyred because he dared to bear witness to the love and justice proclaimed by Jesus.
Our March 23rd service will be bilingual. Pastor Tim will administer communion with Pastor Porfirio Martinez, while the message will be delivered by Marta, a lay woman now living in Minnesota whose life was changed through meeting Monsignor Romero.
Following the service will be a Chicken and Rice Brunch hosted by CCE (Communidades Construyendo Esperanza – Commmunities Building Hope). The fundraiser provides resources for our continuing support of two communites in Ostuma, El Salvador, who are working to rebuild following the devastation of the long civil war.
