Retreats

Time away often provides new perspectives and opportunities for sustained focus on church or life matters.

The Women’s Affinity Group often holds an overnight retreat away from the church one weekend each fall.  A facilitator leads participants in explorations of topics that resonate with modern life. Much fun is had by all in the process.

The Leader’s Retreat has historically been held in the late winter or spring.  It can be an overnight get-away or held on a Saturday.  The Church Council and all church leaders are encouraged to attend.  These times sometimes focus on corporate issues at church (e.g. when we need a new mission statement).  Other times, they are more spiritually focused (Celtic Christianity; Its Significance for Today.)

Upcoming Events

Cherokee Park United is suspending in-person worship and gatherings indefinitely.  This is due to an abundance of caution about the spread of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).  We take this action as caring community members and responsible citizens.  Prayers and encouragement for wise and courageous justice advocacy go out to all.  May you have strength for the journey at this holy time.
